Michelle Kristula-Green

Living and working on four continents, Michelle Kristula-Green, Global Head of Human Resources for Leo Burnett Worldwide, is charged with shaping global strategies for attracting, developing, and rewarding the most important ingredient in our business: People.

Michelle was the first woman to run a multinational advertising agency in Japan, and is known for creating pioneering thought leadership programs, which translate across regions, such as "Voices at the bottom of the pyramid," an extensive study undertaken in China and India, looking at the world of the low income consumer and how best to market brands and services to them. Michelle was also pivotal in the creation of two in-depth studies of the contemporary Asian female and male consumer, "Miss Understood" and "Mister Misinterpreted."

The Wall Street Journal included Michelle in their list of "The 50 Women to Watch: 2006," calling her the "most powerful woman in Asian advertising." As one of the only non-Asian agency heads to have proficiency in both Chinese and Japanese, Michelle has worked in Chicago, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Tokyo, with a wide range of local and multinational clients, including airlines, whom she helps to effectively localize global brands and globalize local brands.
