Governor Linda Lingle has hosted five International Women’s Leadership Conferences (IWLC). In it’s sixth year, the 2009 event will build on the success of previous conferences to inspire Hawai‘i’s women by sharing the incredible stories of success from female leaders around the world. In her travels to many nations worldwide, Governor Lingle has had the chance to meet with and be inspired by women who are making a difference around the globe. Through the annual IWLC, the Governor is ensuring this opportunity is available to all the people of Hawai‘i, especially our young student leaders.
Who:
Nearly 1,000 of Hawai‘i’s women from the fields of business, marketing, media, health care, government, international relations, and community service gather annually seeking inspiration from women leaders worldwide. Attendees also include many Hawai‘i men who understand and respect the value of women’s leadership.
